ORLANDO:
I pulled into the parking lot at the side of the building at 7:21 am on Friday, January 13th. Not knowing how long this would take I prepared for the worse. I had thought to myself, in my times of great fear I was always able to overcome and take control of my mind. Such as with school or job interviews, bungee jumping at an amusement park, expressing my feelings for someone etc. I knew there was no turning back. I grabbed the car key off of the ring and dropped it into my shirt pocket. Only two cars were in the parking lot, which is how I wanted it to be. I walked up the side walk, which normally is an experience in it self. My manager's window is right by the employee door. At times, she has her shades up and she can watch you as you walk in to work. I never know what to do with my face, so I normally look down. Today, the shades were drawn and I was saved from her vision. I punched the 4 digit code into the keypad and a distinct *beep* occurred. I paused for a moment to check my fear into place and opened the door. Around the corner my manager sat, already starting a days work before the rest arrived. "Can we talked?" I asked. She agreed. Motioning to close the door.
The deed was done. I explained to her my reasons for leaving. She was extraordinarily understanding. She stated she is willing to assist me in whatever paperwork I would need. I was enthralled. I will not be stuck here forever.
Now, the only thing is.. I have to find a job.... in Oregon.
